New members can join to become one of our Naval Aviators or an Air Control Officer/Air Traffic Controller. Members who join to become a qualified Super Hornet Driver begin their career as a Student Naval Aviator, while members who join to become an Air Control Officer begin their career as an Air Traffic Control student. Naval Aviators will have opportunities to fly in other aircraft such as the T-45C Goshawk, the MIG-29 Fulcrum, the F-5, and more. Air Control Officers will have opportunities to provide radar situational awareness real-time and control air combat engagements during combat missions, while also controlling the flow of squadron air traffic in terminal areas. Virtual Fighter Squadron 27 (VFS-27), also known as the "Aggressors", is an international virtual squadron that has been actively flying air combat simulators for almost 20 years. Our squadron is committed to providing one of the most realistic and dynamic air combat environments available to virtual pilots. Our squadron membership consists of a diverse group from more than 16 countries, to include "real-world" professional pilots, recreational pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, and aviation enthusiasts just like you. For many of our members being a member of VFS-27 is more than just a simulation...it is their most enjoyable pastime!

VFS-27 is a virtual air combat squadron that flies the F/A-18E Super Hornet developed by Vertical Reality Simulations (VRS) for Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX). Along with the VRS TacPack, our squadron members are able to operate the F/A-18E Super Hornet in the ultra-realistic FSX environment with weapons performance and lethality physics rivaling all current air combat simulators.
